A Herxheimer reaction, also known as a Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction (JHR), is a temporary worsening of symptoms that can occur during antibiotic treatment for certain infections, particularly those caused by spirochetes like syphilis, Lyme disease, and leptospirosis. It's a detoxification response as the body eliminates bacteria and their byproducts. 

Dosage: 1 to 10 drops under the tongue, 3 times per day, or as directed by your healthcare professional. Consult a physician for use in children under 12 years of age.
