Tea Tree Hydrolate is the condensed steam that was used to distill the Tea Tree Essential oil from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia.Hydrolate, Hydrosol and Floral Water are all names for the same thing. However, please note that some "floral waters" are manufactured by combining a fragrance with water, which would not be a genuine hydrolate. A hydrolate offers much of the benefit of the essential oil that they helped create, but in a gentler form. This makes them particularly suited to use directly on the skin and for children or the elderly. Tea Tree Hydrolate is used for its antiseptic properties, as for acne, sunburn and abrasions.
